The Data Science Director will lead Manulife's global practice area passionate about producer misconduct and account takeover fraud. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in graph database-based fraud detection practices and a proven track record of leading data science initiatives that deliver significant business value.

    Develop and implement a comprehensive data science strategy for fraud detection and prevention, focusing on producer misconduct and ATO practices.
    Lead a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers in the creation of predictive models and algorithms to identify and prevent fraudulent activities.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Customer Experience, and Operations, to integrate data science solutions into the business processes.
    Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in fraud detection and data science, and implement standard methodologies within the team.
    Communicate sophisticated data-driven insights to non-technical partners to advise decision-making and strategy.
    Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects, from ideation to deployment and monitoring of models in production.
    Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and data-driven decision-making within the team and the organization.

    You think big, with curiosity to discover ways to use your agile approach and enable business outcomes.
    Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
    Experience in full stack data science, with a focus on fraud detection and prevention
    Consistent record of leading data science teams and delivering impactful analytical solutions.
    Strong understanding of AI and Machine Learning technologies and their applications in a corporate setting
    Experience with cloud analytics services, MLOps, and leading large-scale data science projects.
