Summary:


The Leasing Specialist/Agent is responsible for achieving and maintaining maximum occupancy within their portfolio, hosting open house events, marketing available units, and preparing and completing Tenant Applications and Residential Tenancy Agreements.

Responsibilities:


  • Supporting the overall leasing and resident relations function for the assigned portfolio including administration of all required paperwork, evaluating and monitoring metrics that include vacancy, leases signed, move in, move out, notices, rescinded notices, etc.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the properties including availability of suite types and layouts, common areas, amenities of the building(s) and the surrounding neighborhoods.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legislation (i.e. BC Residential Tenancy Act, Fire Code and Occupational Health and Safety Act).
  • Provide superior customer service, dealing effectively and fairly with resident requests and concerns in a timely fashion, involving the Property Manager when necessary.

Education & Experience:


  • Degree or diploma in related field such as Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or Communications is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1year experience in residential property management, real estate sales or marketing, hospitality, seniors housing, or other relevant industries.
  • An understanding of all applicable laws, legislation and rights concerning residentlandlord relations.
  • Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act.

Skills & Abilities:


  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat is required, and the desire and ability to learn new systems property management system.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop cooperative working relationships at all levels.
  • Energetic, responsive team player with the ability to take initiative and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle at all times.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay:
From $55,000.00 per year
