_Are you a Project Manager with experience juggling multiple projects at a time? Experience within the Construction Sector and knowledge of Sheet Metal, Plumbing or HVAC Systems?_
Project Manager is responsible to deliver project on time and on budget while meeting all contractual obligations.
To have a full understanding of project scope and work with internal and external project clients to resolve conflicts and objections.
Responsibilities of a Project Manager:
- Deliver project on time and on budget while meeting all contractual obligations.
- Undertake a thorough review of project requirements and develop a working knowledge of project intention, scope of work, budget, selected equipment and vendors and related timelines.
- Communicate knowledge of project to others including Installation Foreman and internal project support staff and share information as it relates to related positions and tasks during project lifespan.
- Liaise with client, attend project meetings and exchange communication as necessary to resolve queries, conflicts and objections.
- Develop schedules that incorporate all projects to ensure adequate resources are identified and available.
- Review projects on an ongoing basis with Project Coordinator and Installation Foreman to predict and anticipate conflicts and ensure ongoing capability and productivity.
- Review job costing to ensure compliance to budget and provide feedback to others.
- Prepare change orders for work beyond initial scope and resolve with client.
- Liaise with internal project team on Site Instructions, Change Directives, Change Orders, job costing feedback, project schedule and other issues as they may arise.
- Attend internal meetings related to production, safety and quality.
- Participate in client billing process.
- Get results with the help of others: utilize support staff to perform clerical tasks associated with product availability, routine correspondence and collecting information related to change orders and provide support to internal project staff to facilitate their understanding/response for project deliverables
- Review projects at conclusion of work and closing of project.
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
- Accomplishes staff produced results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results
- developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
- Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
Education/Experience of a Project Manager:
- College/University degree in related field, preferably Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Project Managing with multiple projects at a time
5+ years experience a MUST:
Construction and Mechanical industry experience a MUST:- Ability to read drawings/blue prints
- HVAC, Plumbing & Sheet Metal knowledge an asset
- Experience as a Project Manager

$50,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
