HealthLink BC delivers high quality digital and 8-1-1 telehealth service across the continuum of care to British Columbians and health care providers.

Providing support to patients before, between, and after in-person community services to best support the patient in the optimization of their health; and supports health care providers in their aim to achieve the highest clinical outcome for their patients.


The
Manager, Workforce Planning and Scheduling is responsible for the overall service delivery and leadership of the Workforce Coordination and Workforce Scheduling and Time Keeping Services team.

Position is responsible for all aspects of workforce planning, developing operational best practice and resource plans for 8-1-1 service operations within HealthLink BC.

With a focus on efficiency, resource optimization and continuous improvement, this role ensures optimal resources channels to meet established service level standards.

Job Requirements:


  • Degree in business administration, commerce, public administration or equivalent degree; OR, an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training may be considered.
  • A minimum of five (5) years recent (within the last 7 years) workforce experience in a contact centre or customer service driven environment.
  • A minimum of five (5) years recent (within the last 7 years) senior supervisory or management experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years recent (within the last 7 years) experience with stakeholder engagement/relationship management.
  • Experience managing a number of concurrent projects, initiatives or complex tasks, including those supported by underlying technology within established deadlines.
  • Demonstrated user experience at the intermediate skill level with Microsoft programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
  • One (1) year or more of demonstrated conflict management and issue resolution experience.
Preference may be given for any of the following:

  • Project management experience.
  • Experience providing leadership or supervision within a collective agreement environment an asset.
  • Demonstrated change management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with workforce methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with workforce planning, including scheduling, timekeeping, payroll and rotation development.

About this Position:

One (1) position available.
This position is excluded from union membership.
Travel will be required to attend meetings in Langley and Burnaby as required.
This position can be based out of any of the Ministry of Health office locations listed above.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 to 3 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
