Manager, Strategy & Business Development located in

Reporting to the Senior Manager Projects, the

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where you will contribute to OPG's public outreach, engagement and education efforts as part of the company's commitment to growing its social license.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement business strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new areas of growth and opportunity for our energy and/or nuclear services.
  • Perform market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape and market opportunities.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, clients, government agencies and vendors.
  • Lead the business development team in pursuing new business opportunities and developing proposals.
  • Analyze and manage financial performance, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Provide leadership on projects and initiatives in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.

EDUCATION

  • Engineering, Economics or Business Administration degree would be considered an asset

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the energy or nuclear sector.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal energy policies.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse levels of government.
  • Strong expertise in strategic planning of energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent understanding of government and stakeholder relations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as IESO, CNSC, and IAAC.
  • Experience with planning for new nuclear projects including small modular reactors and nuclear refurbishments will be an asset.
  • Knowledgeable of clean energy initiatives in Ontario such as hydrogen, cogeneration, pumped storage, and similar technologies.
  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities and possesses welldeveloped analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide direction, including providing advice and influencing personnel to others to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work activities to satisfy changing requirements;
  • Experience in driving strategic initiatives and implementing change.
