    We are looking for an individual with a passion for the natural sciences to join our team as a Biologist/Wetland Ecologist in either our Calgary or Edmonton office.

    The successful applicant will be a professional biologist and bring experience that experience to our public and private sector clients.

    As well, this position can offer an interesting variety of field and office work on a diverse range of projects that include biophysical inventories, environmental assessments, and monitoring of environmental impacts.

    Preparing reports, conducting reviews and analysis.
    Providing senior review for reports prepared by juniors.
    Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and technical experts in biology and environmental science.
    Contributing to ongoing project management best practice implementation.
    Staying current on technical and sector-based trends and legislation at the municipal, provincial and national level.
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, environmental sciences or a related field.
    Strong knowledge and practice in wetlands in the Prairies including assessments, mitigation and monitoring.
    Be a wetland practitioner as directed under the Alberta Wetland Policy with Authenticating Professional designation.

    the Digital Regulatory Assurance System [DRAS], OneStop, etc.) and best practices as well as provincial environmental legislation and policy (proficiency under municipal and federal jurisdictions is considered an asset).

    Demonstrated proficiency with industry standard resources, tools and best practices as well as provincial environmental legislation and policy (proficiency under municipal and federal jurisdictions is considered an asset).

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and the public.

    Public consultation experience is an asset.
    Ability to travel and work in remote locations.
    Eligible for overtime (calculated at 1.Hybrid work options when you are not in the field. We'll provide the technology for you to work remotely.

    A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship (a copy of a valid work permit may be required).

    Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing may be required but will be explained during the recruitment process if they are necessary.

    As this position may be serving clients that have vaccination requirements for site access, we may be confirming your eligibility to comply with this requirement.
