The opportunity:


Reporting into the Altus Research and Development Operations Chapter, we are hiring an Operations Manager - Innovation to establish and manage an innovation framework to shepherd ideas from intake into client value.


The Operations Manager - Innovation is embedded within a team of experts that drive innovation relevant to the Altus strategy and longer-term Altus roadmaps.

This person supports the innovation function to ensure a systematic approach to collaborating, prioritizing, and executing Altus innovation projects.

This includes the removal of blockers, dependency resolution, Altus stakeholder engagement, transparency, supporting thought leadership and playing a hands-on strategic role in data and technology innovation at Altus.

Altus Labs' mission is to drive innovation at Altus Group from idea to client value repeatedly and sustainably.

The Labs works to impact the current and future offer roadmap, by determining the feasibility of concept-stage programs and identifying new opportunities from ongoing experimentation.

It also ensures external visibility through thought leadership from Lab resources, to establish Altus as a driver of innovation in commercial real estate.


Responsibilities:


  • Refine and facilitate a scalable and sustainable Lab program structure, including:
  • Intent: Facilitate definition of business and innovation goals-
  • Ideation and intake process: Facilitate the generation and processing of ideas from key stakeholders across Altus-
  • Prioritization framework: Triage ideas with stakeholders into ideas pipeline, based on prioritization framework-
  • Backlog Management: Continuous management of backlog of ideas and projects.-
  • Execution framework: Ensure projects stay on track through innovation framework, removing blockers, coordinating between departments at Altus-
  • Internal visibility: Communication of program status and communication of the impact of innovation projects to Altus stakeholders. Be the frontline contact for internal Altus enquiries into Labs to educate on the process-
  • External visibility: Facilitation and collaboration of external communications in terms of thought leadership, conference / panel participation, press releases etc.-Manage a portfolio of innovation projects to a disposition of outcome.
  • Empower the Altus innovation team through the framework from idea inception to conclusion and/or transition of specific innovation initiatives-
  • Provide transparency, identify risks & mitigants, remove obstacles, and track, resolve, or escalate issues related to research and development schedules-
  • Facilitate contribution to the Altus strategic process and early stage offer roadmap-Relay effective and timely communication. You will serve as the point of contact for senior management, providing impartial transparency into current innovation progress and backlog through clear and accurate communications.
  • As part of the innovation framework, you will establish a systematic communication channel serving as the one-stop shop for Altus Lab communication-
  • In addition to status and updates, ensure that communication processes are useful and maintain open connections between Labs and the organization's strategic direction-
  • Facilitate thought leadership within the Altus organization with relevant stakeholders-Continuous Improvement. You own the initiative to promote established lab practices, enabling and ensuring our innovators are utilized and productive.
  • Work with Altus Labs and Leadership to identify areas of improvements and subsequent action plans through retrospectives-
