The Opportunity:


The TMCoE is looking for an eLearning Specialist to join the team and work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to design, develop and deploy e-learning content for the University's employee-centric learning management system under the general direction of the Manager, Talent Development.

You will work to set quality assurance standards, maintain e-learning solutions, and evaluate the effectiveness of programs; ensure that e-learning programs reflect best practices in instructional and user experience design; and be responsible for storyboarding, authoring, and developing e-learning content and blended learning solutions

Other responsibilities include:

  • Performs essential research and development activities to support the learning and development strategy.
  • Leads eLearning projects using an agile instructional design approach to ensure course design, activities, assessments, and resources are aligned with desired learning outcomes and quality standards.
  • Contributes to the development of communications and change management strategies related to eLearning implementations and works with Senior Consultants to implement related project plans.
  • Works collaboratively with TMCoE staff and vendors on complex learning projects, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), gamification, virtual reality (VR), and other emerging technologies for learning, and advises on best practices for Learning Management System (LMS) use.
  • Acts as an internal instructional design consultant to facilitate the creation of learning experiences that prioritize equity, diversity, inclusion, and pedagogical excellence for adult learning in the digital learning space.
  • In collaboration with the HR Communications teams, oversees the integration of multimedia content (such as videos, animations, and interactive modules) to ensure compatibility and optimal performance within the LMS environment.
  • Continuously updates and improves content based on feedback and evolving standards, engaging internal and external user groups to ensure learning outcomes, needs, and expectations are met.

Qualifications
To help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree required in Business Administration/Information Technology, Educational Technologies, Education, Distance/Online education, Instructional Design or related program or; Post-graduate certificate in E-Learning or working equivalency is required.
  • Certifications in, or experience with, instructional design and eLearning development tools including Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or related authoring tools that support SCORM.
  • Minimum three to five (35) years experience in developing eLearning content, instructional design, and digital media production.
  • Working experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience with adapting and implementing current and emerging eLearning technologies, practices, and pedagogy, with a strong understanding of how to effectively engage and educate adult learners in a digital environment.
  • Experience in managing multistakeholder projects and successful vendor management to deliver programs and learning initiatives in a complex environment.
  • Proficient in developing content using universal design principles to create inclusive learning experiences that comply with accessibility standards such as AODA and WCAG.
  • Superior project management skills and strong organizational skills to ensure quality and timeliness of work.
  • Technical writing skills to explain the use of complex business systems; ability to develop/use style guides.
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict management skills, and facilitation skills with the ability to work with colleagues at different levels in the organization.
