Woodycrest:


Supervisor:
Mary-Lynne Hambly-Zeinstra


Address:29 Woodycrest Drive, Guelph


Occupants: 4 Men


Disabilities:
Autism, Seizures, Schizoaffective disorder and Cerebral Palsy


Challenges:
Some minor behaviours, some personal care, mental health and some anger management (mostly in the form of profanity).


Requirements:
Experience with mental health is an asset, working with transitional aged youth


Community Support:
Provide support in a variety of community activities including volunteering, soccer, baseball, bowling, festivals and lawn maintenance.


Other:


  • Focus of program on maintaining independence working on Steps to Independence
  • Being creative to get individuals out in the community.

Staffing:

One staff during the day, one mid shift and one evening shift and double staffed weekends from 12-4:30, overnight shift is sleepover.


Physical Demands:

Some personal care and must be able to walk up and down stairs multiple times on a shift as the home is multi-level.

Exposure to profanity.
