Position Summary:


Reporting to the Manager, Inventory and Disposal Services, this role will lead, coordinate, monitor, evaluate and control the activities and resources of the inventory and disposal unit to achieve established strategic goals, plans and operational standards and to find opportunities for operation improvements.

This role supports the asset management lifecycle for all GTAA infrastructure by providing true and accurate cost reporting related to MRO parts and materials usage by managing; store and warehouse operations, vendor contracts (including service level monitoring) and the disposal process.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Monitors, evaluates and adjusts system for new and existing stock to min/max levels to ensure accurate and timely reordering and minimize stockout risk
  • Responsible for training all inventory staff on Maximo inventory process, functionality and/or changes in the Inventory system and Oracle interface
  • Conducts regular reviews of slowmoving items to drive cost effectiveness through balance between cost of overhead and risk of stock
  • Reviews client requests for "protected" or "insurance" spares; verifies the necessity and prepares listings for review and approval
  • Prepare and distribute reports on new inventory, stocked percentages per commodity and transactions with Work Order alignment percentages for each commodity group to support continuous improvement and work management targets
  • Monitor and ensure system is functioning and all interfaces between Maximo Inventory and

Oracle Purchasing:
Investigate, troubleshoot, and correct system failures

  • Act as SME and Inventory representative for enhancement and interface projects related to Maximo Inventory modules
  • Responsible for preparation of purchase requisitions and releases against BPA's for IDS inventory and noninventory items
  • Responsible for management of Vending machine program across GTAA facilities
  • Responsible for daily run of requisitions for all inventory items
  • Primary liaison between Purchasing and Accounts Payable to ensure supplier payments are handled expeditiously
  • Investigates invoice discrepancies to resolve issues regarding price, receipts and/or returns
  • Provides support to clients and suppliers to track shipments and invoicing and to prioritize and lead times with vendors
  • Lead GTAA uniform process including client group support/training, vendor management, contract management and reporting
  • Provide advice and participate in Uniform process projects, enhancements and continuous improvement in support of customer service and cost management
  • Prepare, ensure accuracy of and distribute monthly and /or weekly reports by OU to all partners and Finance
  • Provide detail information and reporting on the financial impact when required corrections are made within Maximo to reallocate costs
  • Assists and supports the disposal process for surplus GTAA assets
  • Prepares asset disposal declarations including depreciation and residual value, and maintains records of movement pending redistribution
  • Maintain governance documents and control for Inventory and Disposal Services
  • Assists with fuel management, dispensing systems and disposal by daily monitoring two fuel stations and performs data entry, approves new users, provides required monthly reports; keeps documentation up to date, and trains users
  • Participate in annual and ad hoc review and update of department SOP's and documents

Qualifications:


  • Minimum high school diploma/GED
  • Degree or certificate in inventory management considered an asset
  • WHMIS certification required
  • 3 years experience inventory/asset management (EAM) and financial systems
  • 3 years experience in materials inventory for asset maintenance, preferred airport related.
  • Experience in and around warehouse and job site settings, maintenance environment and/or inventory services
  • Experience with Vendor service level monitoring
  • Experience in fuel management systems
  • Experience with Vending Machine systems
  • Valid Ontar
