Behaviour Resource Clinician

Temporary FULL TIME (18 months with possibility of extension)

Wage Grid:
In accordance with professional designation of successful applicant


The Behavior Resource Clinician (BRC) has a strong knowledge base in behavioral support and in the management of complex mental health needs, dementia and other related responsive behaviors.

The BRC works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to support specialized clinical assessment, treatment plan interventions and evaluation.

The primary role involves the capacity building within the team, through education, training, clinical consultation, and providing a leadership role in the development and evaluation of treatment plans.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A Regulated Health Professional with current certificate of competence with their respective professional college
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experiences working with older adults with or at risk of responsive behaviors presenting with mental health, dementia, delirium, addictions and/or other neurological diagnosis
  • Acquired certificates in behavior support core competencies (eg. PIECES, GPA, Dementiability methods, etc.)
  • Experience with geriatrics, gerontology, and rehabilitative care
  • Experience with psychogeriatric screening, assessment and development of intervention strategies is required
  • Experience in program development, education, and change management is an asset
  • Competence in the use of standard assessment tools
  • COVID19 Vaccination required to work in our facility (2 Doses)
