What you willdo in the role
• Intake Screener Supervisor plays a pivotal role inensuring the efficiency and effective operation of the Intake Screening teamand intake process.
• Supervise a team of Intake Screeners, provideguidance, support, and mentorship to ensure consistent and culturallyresponsive practice.
• Ensures compliance with all legislativerequirements, standards, agency vision and mission, agency protocols, policiesand procedures including notification and consultation with the First Nations.
• Evaluate staff performance, provide ongoing trainingand development opportunities.
• Provide training and mentorship to all employeescompleting Intake Screening coverage and/or Oncall/Afterhours services.
• Participate in the Oncall/Afterhours rotationschedule.
• Responsible for creating and overseeing theOncall/Afterhours schedule for all jurisdictions.

What you bringto the table
• BSW, MSW preferred, with a minimum of 5 years in Child Welfare includingsupervisory experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced environment with sounddecision making and effective communication.
• Must have respect for and sensitivity towards as well as knowledge andunderstanding of the Indigenous, Metis, and Inuit history, culture, traditions andbe committed to reconciliation and decolonization.
• Knowledgeable regarding all current legislation which impacts theprovision of services to Indigenous families and children.
• Must produce clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• The ability to speak a native language is considered a major asset.
• Demonstrate excellent planning, organizational, and administrativeskills.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with a variety ofinternal and external contacts, oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid "G" Ontario Driver's licence, be willing to travel,able to work flexible hours, able to work independently and provide on-callservices when required.
