Summary:

Responsibilities:

Operate various machines such as Press Brake, CNC, and Bandsaw as directed based on jobs.
Fulfill work orders.
Work with other Operators and Production Supervisor to manage priority level of work orders.
Read technical drawings and set up the machines as per those detail drawings.
Ensure all dimensions are accurate and perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
Enter CNC Files onto the nesting software to prepare for cutting, quantities of material needed and output to the cutting table.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
Track and record production.
Operate forklift when needed.
Track and record inventory and offcuts.
Staging material in priority sequence for work orders in the ques to minimize machine downtime.
Help select and transport material to work area manually or using a crane or forklift.
Assist with preparing and maintaining production equipment for operation.
Cutting and removal of scrap material.
General labour duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Familiar with interpreting technical drawings.
Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logístical problems that arise.
Should have a positive attitude and ability to work with others.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
