Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor RFP aggregator sites and customer procurement sites for upcoming bid opportunities.
  • Facilitate bid/nobid calls along with the sales rep.
  • Take the lead on the RFP requirements and work with the sales rep to ensure it is distributed to the relevant team members for completion.
  • Book and facilitate RFP kickoff calls and regular status calls with the sales rep and team.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple RFP responses on tight schedules and under elevated pressure.
  • Perform writing and editing duties to ensure proposal responses are compliant, clear,
  • Work independently or cross functionally with other departments to assist in creating responses for proposals that highlight our value proposition as it relates to the customers' goals and requirements.
  • Enforce approved style guidelines and ensure a consistent look and feel of all outgoing proposals.
  • Assist in reviewing proposals prior to submission to the customer.
  • Assist in owning the management of multiple proposals and their lifecycles, with a focus on project management and quality assurance.
  • Support all activities related to the assembly, production, and delivery of a compliant proposal on time, in the format(s) specified.
  • Train the Sales organization on proposal topics and best practices as assigned.
  • Develop and cultivate strong relationships with relevant areas of the business to help strengthen partnerships and success within the team.
  • Advise management on proposal matters.
  • Help to drive our FOIA responses rates and work with the proposal team to help collect data to help us to identify best practices and areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Using RFP software to help create efficient, timely and professional RFP responses.
  • Help Sales team prefer Demo's of our technology to potential customers and clients.
  • Assist in Customer's meetings where needed from a technical and/or sales perspective.
  • Help TSM's in lead followup and assist in reaching out to customer/prospects on whitespace opportunities and promotions.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role in a highvolume proposal writing environment. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technical Writing, English, Communications, or Journalism. Direct experience with Federal government bids required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to adhere to strict deadlines. Direct proposal management experience in hightech industry is preferred. APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification is an asset. Experience in technical writing proposals for education or other key verticals an asset.
