  • Postsecondary school education or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years minimum of related administrative support experience
  • Proficiency in making documents accessible under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
  • Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational and file management skills
  • Database management
  • Excellent proof reading and grammatical/punctuation editing skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to maintain professionalism while under pressure as well as meeting required deadlines
  • Demonstrated diplomacy skills and the ability to handle confidential matters
  • Demonstrated safe work practices
  • Acceptable Police Records Check

_Assets:

  • Municipal and or legal experience
  • Understanding of social media & producing content for (Twitter, Facebook, Website)
  • Proficiency with City View database
  • Minute/note taking experience
  • Experience with GIS systems

_Duties:
_

To provide administrative and clerical support to the Enforcement Services Division, including but not limited to:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for the Division
  • Opening complaint assignments and dispatching calls for service
  • Assist Enforcement Services with various clerical responsibilities such as research, filing, typing, photocopying and support staff for daytoday operations
  • Preparation, proof reading and editing of correspondence, reports, notices, legal documents, etc.
  • Attend meetings and act as recording secretary preparing accurate minutes with a distribution of action items to assigned individuals
  • Maintain filing system
  • Quality assurance contract management
  • Record keeping and tracking due dates for reports
  • Produce social media content for the County's website
  • Assist with business licensing duties when necessary
  • Assist with research performed by managerial staff

Annual Salary - $54,837 - $64,155
(Job Grade - Under Review) 35 hours per week
