Job Description:

Your Team

The Jr. Development Coordinator will assist monitoring, directing, and communicating the development visioning and process for multi-family projects.

This encompasses responsibility for entitlements, new product development, site planning, site servicing efficiency, detailed building design and engineering, internal approvals, all regulatory approvals (DP, BP, etc.) and project turn-over to respective Condominium boards or Operators.

This position is responsible for cost accounting and controls for the Project Development budgets.

Your Key Deliverables


Lead Project Support:

  • Establish and maintain various internal office administrative support procedures such as document tracking, document control, database management, track project activities, facilitate team communication filing and monthly reporting.
  • Implement and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations.
  • Attend Site and Team meetings as required.

Production & Operations Management:

  • Administer, and direct consultants in project planning, design, development, and approvals to ensure project continuity for the division.
  • Work directly with Development Manager and planners to ensure timely issuance of all regulatory approvals (DP, BP, etc), focusing on the aggregation of DP/BP documentation and submitting consolidated permitting packages to the City for approval.
  • Work directly with marketing team to ensure accuracy of marketing material (Blacklines, etc)
  • Coordinate with consultants to meet a drawing and production schedules.
  • Attend site, consultant and scheduling meetings with consultants and onsite construction representatives, when required.
  • Manage the organization of information in the multifamily team's database (BIM360 & Internal BPD Drives) including but not limited to working drawings and site Instructions.
  • Assist in direction and management of Regulatory Authorities, Planning Consultants, Engineering Consultants, Landscape Architects, Condo Corporations and Management Companies
  • Safety
- tracking and safety reporting.
  • Initiate and coordinate fees and payments as required for production.

Internal Reporting & Governance:

  • Reporting of operations activities to Management.
  • Internal business plan involvement.
  • Internal approvals reporting.
  • Developing and monitoring cost controls and forecasts.
  • Drive initiatives and process improvements to improve efficiency of departments processes.

Managing External Relationships:

  • Troubleshoot and support change actions to support expected business plan results.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with external vendors.
  • Maintain relationships with external resources and regulators.
  • Maintain positive relationships with consultants and contractors initiating corrective actions and change process when required.


Must Haves A minimum 2 to 5 years in land development planning or coordinator role is an asset.- An aptitude and passion for the Real Estate development industry, construction, project management and cost control.- Proficiency with industry standard software is a must.

Including but not limited to, BIM360, BlueBeam, APR, or similar alternatives.- Proven commitment to continuous learning is required.- Strong written and verbal communications skills- Experience in planning and working with Alberta.- Ability to travel to Edmonton or Calgary occasionally.

Nice to Haves- Working knowledge of CAD/ Revit
