Job Summary:


In this role you will support seasoned educators to provide developmentally appropriate learning in a caring environment that prioritizes well-being, belonging, engagement and expression for all.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Interact directly with the children, providing quality care and creative programming.
  • Establish and maintain positive daily communications and interactions with families.
  • Assist in supervising, planning and implementing a consistent childcentred program.
  • Work with staff team to deliver a high quality and ageappropriate programs utilizing Ontario's Pedagogy: How Does Learning Happen?
  • Maintain confidentiality of information related to the centre, children, families, and employees.
  • Adhere to all Child Care Licensing Regulations.

Skills & Qualifications:


Essential:


  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  • Registered by the College of Early Childhood Education.
  • Current Standard First Aid certification including Infant and Child CPR.
  • Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 201
  • Strong team work, time management and communication skills.

Preferred:


  • Experience working with young children.
  • Second language and intercultural understanding.
  • Working in inclusive environments.

Working/ Employment Conditions:


Working Conditions:


  • Shifts are Monday through Friday (no weekends).
  • Travel may be required between locations.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.

  • Incumbent will be required to provide a copy of their current twostep tuberculosis test, prior to their first day of employment.
