Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities

  • Manage an expanded team of pursuit and proposal specialists across Canada;
  • Coach team members in persuasive writing and proposal best practice;
  • Assess incoming opportunities and manage the intake process for incoming pursuits and proposal opportunities, including the assignment of opportunities to team members and supporting with the gono go process; Advise on gotomarket strategy across the firm

  • Provide coaching to both BDO Partners and the team of pursuit and proposal specialists on best practices on prospect interactions, craft compelling value propositions and other sales tactics and develop innovative win strategies; Lead the entire proposal process for high value, complex proposal response opportunities â
- " this includes facilitating proposal kick-off meetings, managing proposal assignments, writing client-centric content, complying with our quality management processes, and owning the final proposal submission;

  • Lead and provide guidance to the team of proposal specialists on strategic postsubmission activities: presentation development, value proposition alignment, graphic design coordination;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the full bidding and proposal process; Adding strategic value to stakeholders and firm leadership, and guiding the team of pursuit and proposal specialists by supporting with: Qualifying opportunities that align with BDO
- 's growth plan

  • Developing bid strategies and determining our unique value proposition Offering support and guidance regarding the firm
- 's credentials that would be best comparable to the opportunity at hand

  • Ensuring critical evaluation of the pursuit opportunity and supporting response content development
  • Producing high quality proposals in both Power Point and Word, ensuring the delivery of a compliant and highscoring proposal
  • Offer presentation development and coaching support for Partners across the firm, understanding presentation best practices
  • Conducting debrief calls as needed
  • Understanding current market conditions, and providing insights to Partners and bid teams regarding the competitive landscape
  • Enforce BDO International Corporate Visual Identity Standards and National brand standards;
  • Support the vision of the Firm by ensuring the demonstration of our BDO Values and Expectations;
  • Standardize RFP response technologies across multiple departments and incorporate AI Practices into the RFP response process;

Education And Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of work experience in proposal writing role
  • 2+ years of experience in a management role
  • A wellorganized individual who enjoys project related work, tight deadlines, problemsolving and has a desire to lead a fastpaced team.
  • Excellent administration and project management skills. Confidence coordinating teams and managing upwards. An understanding of Project Management tools and concepts that will aid the proposal process and the bidding team.
  • A team player with a strong and confident personality and a positive attitude with great dedication.
  • Excellent written and communication skills are vital.
  • Ability to think outside the box, including unique ways to differentiate BDO from its competition
  • Strong experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines
  • Process improvement mindset that is continuously striving to evolve our ways of working and improve the enduser experience
  • Experience in virtual pursuit leadership and cultivating crossfunctional team collaboration
  • Ability to work in an agile environment
  • High level
