Stubbe's is a reputable family-owned and operated company with over 40 years of experience in the industry.

Stubbe's started as a small precast company catering to the agricultural market and have since grown into a diversified company offering a wide range of concrete-related products and services.


This position is located in Hickson, ON.

Reporting to the Manager of Sales

Representing the organization to all pre-existing and potential future clients

Main area of sales is in a 45-minute radius North of the Hickson facility

THE DAY TO DAY

  • Generate sales within a specified geographic area or clientele base, promoting executable projections (suitable for operations).
  • Develop strong rapport and a high level of credibility with current and new clients.
  • Focus on selling value and a 'solution' overfocus on price.
  • Manage the sales cycle through prospect identification, proposal generation to project award.
  • Prioritize the desirability for pursuing customers, and screen out lowpriority opportunities.
  • Contribute to the negotiation of favorable contract terms. Assess and communicate risks.
  • Work with other departments to ensure estimates accurately reflect costs and ensure adequate input so that costs, risks, and conditions are identified.
  • Provide key market intelligence and competitor information to Stubbe's management team.
  • Travel is required.
  • Other duties as requested by management.
  • Pursue continuing education as required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • University or College designation in a related field is an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of cement, concrete and construction
  • Minimum five years of construction experience, preferably in the sales background
  • Experience with developing a sales strategy
  • Possess the following personal qualities: integrity, creativity, high standards, commitment, ethical values, and achievementoriented
  • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skills
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, and other critical business partners (both internally and externally), with a professional demeanor
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal skills.
