Dragados Canada, Inc., the Canadian construction arm of the ACS Group (one of the world's largest international construction and engineering companies), is seeking a talented and eager Supply Chain Manager to join its dynamic and energetic team.


Dragados Canada was established in 2008 and has grown steadily into an industry leader in Canada, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, successfully performing a variety of large-scale transportation, bridge, dam, tunnel, and other major infrastructure projects.


Responsibilities
-
Create, administer, and update vendors data base

  • Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy
  • Establish regular meetings with key subcontractors and suppliers
  • Support procurement and estimating teams in the preparation of requests for quotes
  • Identify and qualify new vendors
  • Review subcontract and supply contract templates and adapt them to project requirements
  • Assist in the development of companywide procurement templates
  • Assist procurement team on negotiation of highrisk contracts
  • Resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues
  • Negotiate supplierspecific framework agreements with vendors
  • Build longterm relationships with Subcontractors and Suppliers
  • Liaise with Machinery Department for procurement of equipment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science/Commerce or Economics
  • 510 years of experience as Subcontractor Procurement Management in heavy civil works & buildings in Ontario
  • Experience, familiarity, and existing relationship with major local suppliers and subcontractors in Ontario would be an asset
  • Practical experience of procurement processes, methods, practices, and contract administration as well as accounting and scheduling principles
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Office and specialized procurement software
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives
  • Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work productively with nominal supervision
  • Availability to travel to monitor supplier's performance, production and schedules as needed
