    Career Opportunity – Scientist or Senior Scientist, RNA

    NanoVation Therapeutics (NTx) is looking for an innovative and collaborative Scientist / Senior Scientist, RNA to join our team.

    Reporting to the Director, RNA, the Scientist / Seni or S cientist, RNA will work closely with the RNA Team and will be responsible for designing, executing, analyzing, and making recommendations on our research protocols related to internal and client-based projects, and subsequent data analysis.

    RNA Research
    Mentors, and executes RNA research in support of our research goals and plans; internal and external projects.

    Independently performs experiments and conducts activities in support of nucleic acid design, production, and analysis for quality and activity using required techniques.

    Assesses mRNA translation performance in vitro and in cells using established cell-free translation assays (CFT) and validated mammalian cell line transfection methods, respectively.

    Generates, analyzes, and tabulates data and results; Project Teamwork
    Leads and helps guide project teamwork.
    Provides oversight and technical support to other project teams.
    Prepares and executes multiple internal and external project plans.
    Prepares and reviews study reports and technical presentations for internal use and for clients.

    Proactively collaborates and interacts with partners, and other groups/departments in the organization on related projects to develop, characterize, and test formulations.

    Proactively conducts relevant scientific literature searches.
    Fosters scientific discussions with team members to support critical analysis of literature and generated data.
    Identifies novel research opportunities.
    Assists in the writing of patent applications.
    Develops the scientific team through mentorship, supervising, and providing guidance.

    PhD in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology and 5+ years of related progressive scientific experience, or the equivalent education and experience.

    Firm understanding of most biochemical and biophysical techniques that include structural biology, nucleotide chemistry, physicochemical properties of RNA and analytical techniques.

    Expert knowledge in areas of RNA Biology, including transcription, RNA processing and transport, translation, mechanisms of transcriptional/translational control, RNA decay and associated mechanisms, and RNA protein-interaction.

    Demonstrated leadership in the management of multiple research projects and budgets.
    This full-time role will be located at 2405 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z3, Canada
