    Description

Headquartered in Montreal, Behaviour has more than 1, employees worldwide with studios in Toronto (Behaviour Toronto), Seattle (Midwinter Entertainment), Rotterdam (Behaviour Rotterdam) and in the UK (Behaviour UK–North & South). This role is part of our business unit working on original games. These teams focus on the creation, development, and maintenance of Behaviour-owned IPs such as Dead by Daylight and Meet Your Maker and other unannounced titles in development.Behaviour Interactive is partnering with Haenir Studio to develop and publish their hotly anticipated debut IP, Blight: Survival. The game takes place in the no man's land between two desperate kingdoms locked in a ceaseless war. Within this realm of death and decay, a new strain of Blight has erupted from the remains of the fallen. Fed and strengthened by the blood that's been spilled, it rapidly spreads – turning man into monster. In this role you will :
  • Maintain features and ship quality C++ code;
  • Maintain and expand the gameplay systems.
  • Design and implement complex gameplay systems;
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks and provide mitigations;
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior team members.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the interconnections between game systems;
    • What we're looking for :
  • 8+ years of gaming industry experience or 8+ years of software industry experience;
  • 5+ years of C++ experience;
  • Great written and spoken communication skills;
  • Great understanding of 3D math and debugging;
  • Great understanding of performance;
  • Passion for problem-solving;
  • Bonus: One or more shipped console game(s);
  • Bonus: Unreal Engine experience.
