Position Overview:
Reporting to the Management of Tsawaak RV Resort & Campground, the Campground
attendants are responsible for housekeeping, groundskeeping, basic maintenance, and
development. They will uphold the grounds of the resort to established standards as set by the
management team. This will include grass cutting, trimming, leaf blowing, sweeping, snow
removal, ice removal, fixing damage from storms and floods, and any other tasks deemed
necessary by the management team. Preparing RV sites and Longhouse Cabins for guests
including tasks such as cleaning out fire pits, picking up garbage, raking/ tidying sites, and other
related duties as required are part of this position. Longhouse Cabin housekeeping and facilities
housekeeping is the responsibility of this team as well.

  • Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ascertain horticulture growing schedules and deviations from established procedures
- from the grower or manager
  • Sow seeds and plant cuttings. Mix planting soils and follow prescribed procedures. As
- well as detect, report, and control all plant health and pest problems.
  • Dig holes for planting and posts
  • Position and regulate irrigation systems
  • Dig, cut, and transplant trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants
  • Provide information to guests when requested
  • Operate equipment safely, effectively, and appropriately
  • Maintain inventory and order materials as required in conjunction with management
  • Evaluate and manage watering programs if required (water restrictions)
  • Snow removal
  • Ability to meet deadlines and proactively find solutions to problems
  • Housekeeping experience is an asset
  • Assist colleagues wherever necessary
  • Qualifications/Experience:
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a related field
  • Maintenance, housekeeping, and groundskeeping experience is an asset
  • Horticulture experience is an asset
  • Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills, and experience
  • Valid First Aid Certificate is considered an asset
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to participate in continuous improvement processes
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow safe work procedures
  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment as well as independently
  • Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise necessary costcontrol measures
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all

- times
  • Prolonged standing, walking, lifting, squatting, and bending
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including evening and weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 50 LBS
or drop off in person at our Main Tla-o-qui-aht Administration Office at 1119
