Binnie is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing Water Resources Division full-time in our Burnaby head office, located near scenic Deer Lake.

This position also offers a hybrid work environment.

Our team is currently working on several notable projects including multiple DFAA Recovery projects for the Ministry of Transportation following the November 2021 Atmosphric River Event.

These projects must consider environmental permitting constraints, Indigenous consultation, property negotiations, archeological constraints, road safety, constructability, and traffic considerations in addition to developing resilient water resource design solutions.

You have proven experience with the delivery of Water Resources related projects with a high level of client satisfaction.

You have experience in the design and construction of civil infrastructure-related projects and understand the complexities and nuances that impact project delivery.

You have experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders through all phases of a project.


You are looking for a results-based role where you will utilize your exceptional communication and project management skills to meet project deadlines and budgets while also managing client demands and expectations.

You will work with our friendly and supportive team of Division Managers, Engineers, Designers, and support staff on a wide range of projects.

This role is client focused and has an excellent opportunity for advancement.


YOUR ROLE:


  • Leading civil engineering design work, from the conceptual level through to detailed construction drawings
  • Acting as the key contact on projects working with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and support staff
  • Engaging in active business development
  • Preparing proposals and reports in coordination with our Proposal Team
  • Developing project schedules and coordinating resources
  • Monitoring budget and progress on projects
  • Training and mentorship of our Project Managers and design team
  • Undertaking quality control procedures and monitoring design standards on completed work

WHAT YOU BRING:


  • 5+ years of related experience in the design, management, and delivery of water resources, and/or municipal projects
  • Documented experience with relevant private sector clients is an asset
  • Registration as a P.Eng. with EGBC with previous experience acting as Engineer of Record, an AScT with ASTTBC, or equivalent
  • Familiarity, or experience, working with Civil 3D, PCSWMM, or WaterCAD
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle
  • Exceptional project management, design, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated team management and delegation skills
  • Demonstrated cost control skills
  • Demonstrated business development skills
  • Proven conflict resolution capabilities
  • Strong communication and time management skills and ability to work concurrently on several different projects
  • Excellent attention to detail to consistently produce accurate, highquality work
  • Confidence to lead assignments with mínimal supervision
