Description
Has a primary duty of managing the company's service department. Customarily and regularly directs the work of at least 2 or more full-time employees. Supports the company's management, purpose, mission, and values.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Leads and manages the service department's employees. Has the authority and responsibility to hire, fire, allocate work, provide training, set and inspect performance expectations, evaluate performance, reward and recognize, discipline, and recommend wage changes, promotions, transfers, or any other change of employee status. His/her recommendations are given serious weight in each decision.
  • Leads group and individual meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Formulates and implements strategies with the goals of having: 1) each Service Technician meet or exceed his/her projected Average Dollar Per Stop every month; and 2) the company consistently meet or exceed its budgeted monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Oversees the paperwork of the sales department to ensure clear communication among all departments of the company and customers.
  • When customer issues are escalated to his/her level, works to resolve all issues with customers.
  • Ensures that customers have a remarkable experience.
  • Is an ambassador for the company's culture and purpose.
  • Drives for the company in a safe manner.
  • Regular, reliable onsite attendance.

DIRECT REPORTS
Service Technicians

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices.

Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.

Skill in operating a personal computer and programs.

Skill in verbal and written communication.

Strong presentation skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
2+ years of sales and/or sales management experience; or,

A combination of education and experience that illustrates a proven track record in this field.

A valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
