Master Drilling Canada Ltd. is looking for _Raise Bore - Driller_ _Voisey's Bay Project in Newfoundland & Labrador.

Salary - $35-$40/hr Depending on experience

Quarterly Bonus Pay

Isolation Premium - $1.25/hr

Night Shift Premium - $1.75/hr

Daily Safety Bonus - $15.00/day

Duties and responsibilities

  • Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his/her duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor inventory of spare parts and supplies/consumables. Procure items as required to ensure production progresses.
  • Accountable for the performance of the raise drill, including all aspects of safety, financial, schedule, quality, and performance.
  • Execute training plans for national employees to become competent raise bore drillers.
  • Report and escalate emerging issues with the Project Management.
  • Communicate with the Client at the site as required.
  • Prepare and submit reports or requests as required.
  • Submit accurate time sheets for processing in a timely manner.
  • Make required adjustments to the operational settings of the raise bore drill to compensate for ground conditions.
  • Give direction to crew members on the various duties with respect to the safe and efficient operation of the raise drill.
  • Aid Field technicians for maintenance schedule and completion
  • Connect various components on the raise drill as required.
  • Read and interpret engineering plans to set up the raise drill and assemble components.
  • Perform and/or assist in minor repairs as required.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a clean work site, storage of materials and spare parts.
  • Must be able to follow proper procedure to ensure safety and to control equipment damage.
  • Provide and upload MD Mobile Shift Reports
  • Short term planning, assist and provide detailed 721 schedule with Project Manager
  • Comply with Company Risk Management (CRM) requirements.
  • Ensure to follow the wagonwheel process flow, fill out all documentation required for authorization for each process.
  • Participate with internal and external auditing (Operational and Safety).

Qualifications:

  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate
  • NL Fall Protection Certificate
  • Valid AWP and/or Telehandler Operator Certificate
  • Valid Rigging Training Certificate
  • 35 years Drilling Experience is Mandatory

Assets, but not mandatory:

  • Mining Experience
  • Underground Experience
  • First Aid
  • Valid Explosives Permit
  • Welding
  • Electrical Tickets
Other Site Requirements & General Working Conditions

  • A clean criminal records check is mandatory prior to hiring.
  • Ability to lift or carry 50lbs.
  • Be mechanically inclined and have good problemsolving skills.
  • Have a good understanding of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Preemployment medicals and drug screening are mandatory prior to site access.
  • Must be willing to learn and participate in onthejob training.
  • Ability to work night and day shift is a requirement.
  • Must be able to work in high traffic areas and in close proximity.
  • Camp accommodations are provided.
  • Must be a team player and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
We have multiple opening in various locations throughout Canada. All successful applicants will be required to work a two-week on, two-week off rotation schedule.
