JOB DESCRIPTION:
Site Operations Manger





REPORTING TO:
Vice President of Operations





DIRECT REPORTS :
Site supervisors / Team Leaders

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Arrow Off-Road, the Arrow Off-Road Site Operations Manager / General Manager** will be responsible for all activities in the plant and contribute as part of the Arrow Off-Road (AOR) operations leadership team.

They will have responsibility to contribute to and execute the local site P&L and collaborate with divisional shared services (supply chain, engineering, quality) and corporately shared services (IT, finance, human resources) to construct and achieve the established goals.

They will provide effective and engaging leadership to set priorities with team members and will proactively take initiative to execute new ideas and strategies that complement the organization's vision to maximize safety, quality, on time delivery and continuous improvement.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Under the direction of the SVP Operations and in conjunction with other Site Operations Directors, develop and execute an Annual Operating Plan for AOR
  • including top line business & EBITDA growth, operating objectives, strong cash flow performance, cost reduction and continuous improvement opportunities in a division that has seen exponential growth.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on the progress of the production area in meeting annual goals to maximize business concurrent with decreasing costs as appropriate
  • Build and lead a high performing team to deliver operational excellence and outstanding customer service
  • Champion Arrow's culture, core values in the development of an engaging culture at the local level
  • Cultivate longterm partnerships with existing and new customers to support site and continued divisional growth
  • Collaborate with and lead launching of new products locally, ensuring alignment to quote
  • Effectively lead, mentor, and grow talent within site, align all support functions within facilities along a common strategy.
  • Develop and drive operational initiatives around standard work and process improvements using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Responsible for the delivery of site KPIs, including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Work collaboratively with Arrow shared services functional leaders to attain customer requirements and business growth
  • Manage communication throughout the organization through town halls and operations team meetings

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in a senior operational management position
  • 10+ years experience in a CNC machining and/or fabrication environment is required.
  • Proven ability in engaging teams and effectively drive people development
  • Superior project management, operational planning, interpersonal relations, communication, and effectively coaching team members are essential to be successful in this role.
  • Significant knowledge around Lean Principles, Operational KPI implementation and execution, knowledge of MRP systems and advanced excel knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive results around Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost
  • Six Sigma certification an asset
  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical) an asset
