- Construct financial models using Argus and Excel to forecast cash flows, investment returns, and the feasibility of acquisitions, dispositions, or potential initiatives.
- Engage in the evaluation of targeted initiatives identified by the firm, synthesizing all necessary information to bolster the business case and assess financial outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive business case packages to support decision making.
- Assist in the due diligence and closing processes for new acquisitions and dispositions.
- Support the preparation of materials for Investment Committee, client, and coinvestors.
- Perform market research and maintains pertinent databases to underpin ongoing and new business activities.
- Execute ad hoc financial analyses and generate reports for internal purposes (including executive committee and management reports, annual business planning, and quarterly reporting) and external stakeholders.
- Analyze, condense, and integrate thirdparty reports (e.g., appraisers, engineers, cost consultants, etc.) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of assumptions in financial models for both owned assets and those under consideration for acquisition.
- 14 years of experience working in investments and/or underwriting of commercial assets.
- Degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, and/or Real Estate preferred. Additional related designations/certifications as asset.
- Passion and interest in commercial real estate transactions, capital markets, and economics.
- Proficient with Excel. Argus experience an asset.
- Financial acumen and financial analysis experience with understanding of investment valuations and cashflow analysis.
- Attention to detail to review, organize, and analyze large amounts of data.
- Strong organization, analytical and prioritization skills.
- Ability to problem solve effectively and adept at presenting complex information clearly and concisely.
- Collaborative attitude with the capacity and willingness to manage multiple tasks by being flexible/adaptable and responding to changing circumstances.
- Excels in a dynamic and fast paced environment and enjoys new challenges.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal with a successful track record in working with stakeholders of multiple disciplines.

(Senior) Analyst, Investments & Asset Management
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to support the Investments & Asset Management functions, working directly with the Director, Investments and overseeing the underwriting of new acquisitions, new fund opportunities, joint ventures, (re)developments, financing strategies and asset business cases (buy/hold/sell decisions) for a portfolio of commercial assets.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player, with a passion for commercial real estate and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience underwriting commercial properties, experience with transaction due diligence and strong analytical skills assessing new deals and deal structures.
The compensation package is $75,000 to $105,000, depending on level of industry experience, with a bonus, benefits, social perks, and working for a recognized top Canadian employer.
