The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possesses one or more of the following:
Training Specialization:
Indigenous history and culture
Related Teaching Experience:
Recent successful experience teaching Indigenous Education
A Reasonable Expectation:
based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff
Knowledge of local Indigenous Community
Will be expected to work closely with teachers and the First Nations Community
The starting annual salary for this full-time Other Instructional Support Teacher, Indigenous Education (all Grades or levels), ranges from $59,394 to $106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
