Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports ("Linck") requires one (1) contract, full-time (70 hours bi-weekly)
Child and Family Well Being Worker.

The start date of this position will be as soon as possible and will last until August 31, 2024 (inclusive).


The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining, strengthening and promoting healthy family functioning as well as child/youth safety and for carrying out the mandate of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) in accordance with the prescribed guidelines and regulations.

The worker will provide support and coaching to children, youth, families and foster/Kin homes according to an approved plan of service and task list to ensure child/youth safety and positive outcomes.


Qualifications:


  • Child and Youth Worker Diploma required;
- up to three (3) months of practical experience;
- solid knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards governing child welfare, including CYFSA and its regulations and Ministry standards is an asset;
- knowledge of behavioral modification, parenting, engagement and child development theory and practice including dynamics of separation and attachment between parental figures and child/youth;
- preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions;
- a commitment to developing the highest quality culturally-responsive service possible for the various communities that we serve;
- excellent oral and written communication skills;
- ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff;
- ability to organize and manage time effectively;
- computer literate;
- the ability to communicate in French is an asset;
- a valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle.


Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract


Salary:
$26.25-$33.34 per hour
