Scope

The City of Surrey's Recreation Division aims to build healthy communities where all people are active and engaged for life.

As part of that commitment Recreation services is looking for Slide Attendants to provide safe guidance and direction for the use of aquatic amenities.

They will also assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the Newton Wave Pool.

Responsibilities

Communicate and educate the public about safe, appropriate use of amenities.
Perform safety and maintenance checks.
Perform cleaning routines.
Related duties as required. Qualifications
Successful completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
Emergency First Aid with CPR and AED Our ideal candidate will
Be able to work a variety of weekend and evening shifts
Understand and effectively carry out both oral and written instructions.
Deal tactfully and courteously with members of the public, and other staff.
Have a good knowledge of equipment related to the slides and cleaning of equipment.
Have a working knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations. Other Information

Hourly Rate:
$21.64

Conditions of Employment

This position requires completion of a Police Information Check.
