Located in Barrie and reporting to the Dean, Business and Management, Automotive Business, the incumbent develops and delivers courses in the Business and Automotive Business programs.

Courses may be scheduled and delivered during the day or evening and are planned to be delivered in person at the Barrie campus or online.


Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops and Delivers Statistical Analysis courses in the Business and Automotive Business programs
  • Develops and delivers appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives
  • Incorporates a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
  • Engages the students through active learning techniques and experience in the field
  • Evaluates student progress / achievement
  • Participates in program and college activities as required
  • Creates and maintains a positive learning environment

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A Bachelor degree in Business, Economics or related discipline and a Masters in Business, Economics or related discipline
  • A Doctorate in Business, Economics or related discipline is preferred
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis in the organizational environment
  • Minimum of 5 years statistical analysis experience
  • Experience managing change and leading innovation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to lifelong learning
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
  • Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies
  • Teaching and Training certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity is an asset
