    Description
    Reporting to the Manager, Medical Services, you will beresponsible for providing quality nursing care to a patient

    population with predictable outcomes. As part of amultidisciplinary health care team, you will practice within the

    Professional Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario, thePhilosophy of patient and family centered care,

    mission vision, values and the policies of Thunder Bay RegionalHealth Sciences Centre.

    Applicants must have the following qualifications:

    Current unrestricted registration as a Registered PracticalNurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or the

    ability to become licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario

    Current certification in BCLS

    Recent experience in Medical Nursing with experience in thecare of complex patient populations, with a focus on

    renal patient populations

    Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning,implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his

    basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized careplanning and delivery

    Collaborates with Registered Nurse's when patients assigned tothe Registered Practical Nurse become unstable

    or have outcomes that are not as expected

    Identify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responsesand take appropriate action

    Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions

    Strong interprofessional and communication skills

    Salary Range: $35.041 to 35.970
