|About the role


Reporting to the Manager, Security Governance, this position will assist in the implementation of security governance through the implementation, review and upkeep of Security Documentation, updating existing reports on KRI, contributing to Security Governance improvement projects and ensuring Security Regulatory requirements are met.

This includes the development of processes and procedures, and being an advocate for security.

As an ambassador for the organization's security function, the incumbent plays a key role in promoting a culture of security and governance for all employees.

They will regularly communicate and collaborate with employees of other Payments Canada divisions as well as members and user groups.

| What you'll do

  • Contribute to Security Governance enhancement projects, such as risk register governance improvements, risk reporting and other planned projects;
  • Lead and collaborate with the key stakeholders on the Insider Threat Program to define the Insider Threat Policy and assist with the Security Awareness and Training for Payments Canada employees;
  • Produces periodic reports, key risk indicator, and key performance indicator dashboards for management;
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of information security policies and standards;
  • Support, coach, and advocate for Security Governance culture to ensure security becomes everyone's responsibility;
  • Support the development of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for security and cross functional teams.
|Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science or other field related to information systems and technology or information security management or equivalent work experience;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in an information security or information risk management capacity;
  • Excellent project coordination, time management skills and ability to deliver to strict timelines;
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and crossfunctional teams to drive outcomes with urgency, accountability, and ownership;
  • Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft 0365 Applications (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint), Lucidchart in report creation;
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills;
  • Government of Canada Level II Secret Clearance or eligible to obtain.
|Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of, or experience with, the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL); framework is required, and ITIL foundation certification;
  • Experience in cybersecurity Training and Awareness;
  • Industry certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.)
|Salary Range

  • Based on qualifications and experience: $76,501 and $95,626.
