Manager, Technical Services (Medical Equipment)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Technical Service Team worldwide schedule to include all in house and contractor
service technicians.

  • Ensure all Technical Service activities comply with all regulatory requirements. Ensure that all
necessary SOP's, radiation safety and training requirements are up to date for each team

member in accordance with Regulatory Best Theratronics LTD Standards

  • Coordinate monthly PM runs and assign jobs to field service technicians; optimize the Installation
& Service group (I&S) schedule by maximizing the number of jobs in a geographical area.

  • Coordinate all rigging activities to include hire of rigging companies for all EBTS and SCI new
installations, disposals and relocations and manage payment of all rigging invoices.

  • Ensure I&S staff provides timely and professional services; ensure calls are answered directly and
  • Manage labor hours, overtime and travel expenses for all the service technical team.
  • Review cost for each service job, ensuring maximization for profit.
  • Desirable perform maintenance and repair of Best Theratronics products worldwide and
troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems on-site and over the phone.

  • Preparation of detailed service reports and complete documentation in accordance with SOP's
and regulatory requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum a technologist diploma Electrical/Mechanical diploma and/or completion of a trade's
apprenticeship program or have significant experience and knowledge of the product lines.

Alternative training/certifications will be considered. Work experience in similar position a bonus.

  • Customer service skills & problem solving a must, able to multitask and adapt to change with
mínimal notice.

  • Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing; adaptability and the ability to deal with
tight deadlines.

  • Communicate effectively with end users, riggers, regulatory and security representatives to coordinate
training & service.

  • Communicate effectively and manage relationships with inspectors from nuclear, medical device
& healthcare regulatory agencies a must. Certification as a Nuclear Energy Worker and Radiation

Safety protection desirable.

  • Must be able to perform electrical/mechanical trouble shooting and possess improvisation skills
with technical equipment.

  • Willing to travel occasionally; must be available days, evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills in MS Work and Excel; intermediate data entry/keyboarding skills.
  • Read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wire and diagnose electrical
equipment.

  • Work with customers to coordinate all service work and training. Manage relationships with
various inspectors from nuclear, medical devices and healthcare regulatory agencies.

  • Experience in X-Ray equipment and repair would by highly desirable.
  • Must be fluent in English; fluency in French desirable.

Salary:
$65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

  • Management: 3 years (required)
