Position title:
Accounts Payable Specialist


Reporting to:
Accounting Manager - M/A


Type of position:
Full-time, Permanent


Location:
Markham, ON


Summary of Business:


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Approve and voucher invoices in ERP system.
  • Process employee monthly expense payments and journalize credit card statement in ERP system.
  • Process cheques, wires, EFT and ACH payments on 10th and 25th monthly
  • Work with vendors and buyers
  • Process monthend close including accruals, reconciliations.
  • File paid invoices.
  • Other adhoc assignments from the manager

Qualifications:


  • 23 years in A/P
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Good time management skills and able to prioritize tasks

Desired:


  • 2 years college, in accounting or equivalent
  • Experience in using QAD or other ERP system is an asset
  • Continuous education in accounting
