    The Accountant is part of the North American accounting group and will focus on month-end close and account reconciliations. We're in need of a versatile Accountant who, in compliance with SOX and other audit requirements, wants to play a key role in financial reporting and analysis, a timely close process, and maintaining a strong internal control environment. If you're a passionate Accountant that wants to help a growing company find unique and faster ways of managing our accounting functions, while performing additional projects in technical and tax accounting, we want to talk to you.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation is maintained (in compliance with SOX requirements), as well as monitoring and resolving reconciling items on a timely basis
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and identify and investigate irregularities
  • Ensure all reports utilized in accounting functions are complete and accurate
  • Prepare financial variance analysis reports; ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and year-end close, for both individual entities and on a consolidated basis
  • Perform accounting research and interpretation of SEC guidance as necessary to maintain GAAP financial statements
  • Interact with internal and external auditors in completing and coordinating audits
  • Compile a wide variety of financial information for the purpose of providing required documentation and/or processing information for both internal and external audits
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation and implement relevant changes independently in compliance with SOX requirements.

    • Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, with 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP preferred)
  • Experience performing month end close, account reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Experience with international tax filing preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong work ethic and positive mindset
  • Ability to work in a global context, with business users in different locations world-wide
  • CPA preferred

    Ce(tte) comptable fera partie du comptable nord-américain et se concentrera sur la clôture mensuelle et le rapprochement des comptes. Nous avons besoin d'un(e) comptabl(e) polyvalent(e) qui, en se conformant au SOX et aux autres contraintes d'audit, souhaite jouer un rôle clé dans l'analyse et le rapport financier, une procédure de clôture ponctuelle et le maintien d'un environnement de contrôle interne fort.     Responsabilités principales

  • Préparer les entrées au journal et les rapprochements de compte, s'assurer qu'une documentation correcte est tenue (en conformité avec les exigences SOX), et gérer et résoudre les éléments de rapprochement en temps utile
  • Résoudre les écarts comptables et identifier et analyser les irrégularités
  • S'assurer que tous les rapports utilisés dans les fonctions comptables sont complets et précis
  • Préparer des rapports d'analyse de variance financière ; assurer des rapports précis et ponctuels sur la clôture mensuelle, trimestrielle et annuelle pour les deux entités individuelles et sur une base consolidée
  • Faire une recherche et une interprétation comptables du guide SEC nécessaire pour tenir les états financiers GAAP
  • Interagir avec des auditeurs externes dans la réalisation et la coordination d'audits
  • Compiler une large palette d'informations financières aux fins de fournir la documentation requise et/ou de traiter des informations pour des audits internes et externes

    • Prérequis

  • Diplôme de comptabilité avec 2 à 4 ans d'expérience dans ce domaine
  • Connaissance approfondie des principes comptables globalement acceptés (GAAP US préférés)
  • Expérience dans l'établissement des clôtures mensuelles, les rapprochements de comptes et l'analyse financière
  • Expérience dans la déclaration de revenus internationale préférée
  • Bonne compétence en communication verbale et écrite en anglais
  • État d'esprit professionnel éthique et positif
  • Aptitude à travailler dans un contexte globalisé avec des intervenants sur différents sites dans le monde entier
