    Description

    Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership : Ensure technical decisions align with the overall product strategy and company goals. Lead the architecture design/development and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to optimize development processes and outcomes.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance environment. Be a key decision maker in bringing in new talent on to the engineering team.
  • Code Development: Actively contribute to advanced developing problems, setting a high standard for code quality and efficiency.
  • Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and company standards. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as needed, prioritizing stability and performance.
  • Quality: Advocate and enforce best practices in software development, ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
    • Legacy Transition: Strategize and execute the transition from legacy systems to modern technology stacks, minimizing disruptions to ongoing operations. Identify key areas for improvement in the legacy system.
  • Project oversight & documentation: Work with the team to maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders. Ensure all technical decisions and processes are well-documented for future reference and continuity.
  • Innovation: Encourage and participate in innovative thinking, exploring new technologies and approaches to solve complex problems. Champion continuous learning and development within the team, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
  • Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison between the development team and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of technical challenges and progress.
    • Must have qualifications
  • Leadership : 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring development teams.
  • System Design: 5+ years of experience designing and scaling SaaS applications.
  • Full-stack Development: 5+ years of experience in developing and scaling front-end applications using ReactJS and Angular.
  • Back-end Experience: 8+ years of experience developing and scaling back-end applications using Java/Spring framework
  • Database: Proficient in relational databases and optimizing queries.
  • Cloud Services : Experience deploying applications on AWS, including microservices/serverless architectures.
  • Orchestration : 5+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization and orchestration tools.
  • DevOps : 5+ years setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • QA: Implementing unit/integration tests as part of the development lifecycle.
    • Nice to have qualifications:
  • QA: Experience implementing Test-Driven Development best practices.
  • Industry experience: familiarity with the event management software space or related fields.
  • Community involvement: active in open-source projects or consistent contributions to their on GitHub portfolio.
