    The Opportunity

    Are you an EIT or Engineer with production engineering experience in Western Canada? Are you looking for an #opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of oil and gas assets? We are #hiring a Production Engineering Consultant for our Calgary head office.

    If you enjoy dynamic work within a fast paced team environment, we want to hear from you

    You will work with operations to trouble shoot and optimize oil and gas wells. Working on larger projects, your goal will be to get more production online.

    Additionally, you will ensure our operations meet or exceed AER requirements and will complete regulatory compliance tracking and co-ordination of One Stop.

    In collaboration with marketing and joint venture, you will secure the most profitable processing and egress capacity. You will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.


    What you will do
    Maintain stewardship, integration and implementation of Vermilion's HSE program

    Monitor production performance, forecasting, and optimization

    Program well interventions and supervise wellsite supervisors

    Build, execute, and deliver budget and long-range plan capital and volume

    Identify and execute artificial lift optimization and infrastructure debottlenecking opportunities

    Conduct detailed multidisciplinary well reviews with operations and the area geologist

    Build and maintain a robust inventory of workovers / recompletions, providing economic assessments and recommendations for project execution and timing

    Perform lookbacks of subsurface maintenance and workover / recompletion campaigns; make recommendations to improve performance and reduce capital

    Manage and influence non-op partner operations activity

    Ensure accurate measurement and accounting of production products


    What you will bring
    Three years of experience in production engineering with a focus on Western Canadian oil and gas assets

    Regulatory experience for the province of Alberta

    A Bachelor's degree in Engineering

    Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast paced, collaborative team environment

    Location and other Key Details

    This is a temporary contact position for a period of 12 months

    You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Centennial Place building at 520, 3rd Ave SW

    Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, part time hours can also be considered if required
