Description

Responsibilities:


  • Install, startup, test, inspect, repair, program, tune, maintain and calibrate electrical equipment.
  • Install, examine, repair, replace electrical wiring and conduit, receptacles, switches, fixtures.
  • Test electric and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, resistance.
  • Maintain, repair, test and install switchgear, transformers, meters, regulators and reactors, motors (AC and DC), generators, alternators, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and related devices.
  • Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and engineering and electrical code specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals.
  • Work from work orders, prints, sketches, general instructions, electrical, electronic, or logic schematics.
  • Maintains a safe working environment.
  • Performs lock out and tag out procedures.
  • Interprets plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Plan project tasks and procedures.
  • Prepares worksite.
  • Finalizes required documentation.
  • Performs start up and shutdown procedures.
  • Performs servicing ad maintenance of power distribution equipment.
  • Installs high voltage equipment.
  • Handle any low voltage issues.
  • Performs servicing and maintenance of transformers.
  • Support, lead, and mentor team members / apprentices

Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Must be a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician with exclusive experience in commercial and multiresidential construction.
  • Designated Red Seal Master Electrician License Required, plus 2 years degree in Electrical Technology (associate degree required) or equivalent technical experience/apprenticeship
  • Have an excellent understanding and implementation of the CEC.
  • Must have safe working practices.
  • Must be competent in both electrical and communication wiring.
  • Has the ability to interact positively with the other members of our team.
  • Must have the ability to adjust to any situation as the challenge presents itself.
  • Have a valid BC drivers' licence and clean driving record.
  • Must be punctual, selfmotivated, independent, and organized.
