We are currently seeking an experienced
Carpenter with a strong work ethic, the desire to be part of a team, and the skills to assist in the construction of residential and commercial properties in the Saskatoon region.
As a member of our team, you will provide insight and innovative solutions to ensure the successful construction of our commercial and residential properties.
Summary
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Carpenter selected will be responsible for the quality control of all homes constructed in a the community, ensuring the compliance with local building code and company safety policy.
Responsibilities
- Assist in quality control of all homes constructed in a project
- Adherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sites
- Perform touch ups and repairs on subtrade deficiencies
- Carpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subcontractors
- Perform frame checks and mechanical checks
- Perform structural adjustments to framing
- Frame garages and basements
- Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun
- Experience or willingness to be trained on equipment operation is an asset
- Other tasks as required by the site foreman
Requirements:
- 2+ years of carpentry experience
- Experience in residential framing
- Enrolment in Carpentry apprenticeship or completion of Journeyman Carpentry is an asset but not required
- Experience in residential construction
- Good verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of building code and safety code requirements
- Hand Tools / Tool Belt
- Be organized, interpersonal and strong communicator with the ability to build excellent relationships with customers
- Exceptional analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, resultsoriented and able to work in a multifunctional team environment
- Appearance must be neat, clean and professional
- Must have own vehicle and valid driver's license
