Qualifications:


  • Completion of a three (3) year diploma in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Successful completion of professional certifications such as ISACA, (CISM), (ISC)
  • CISSP or (ISC)2 HCISPP, ISACA, ISO27001 Preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience in technology including software development lifecycle and systems support
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the hospital environment with health care data and insight into legislation and mandated activities
  • Experience with vulnerability and patch management processes, procedures and technologies
  • Experience with integrating Microsoft technology with security related technologies such as SIEM and vulnerability management
  • Excellent technical and programming skills; preferably experience with one or more of PHP, JAVA, SQL, as well as relational databases, e.g. Oracle, MySQL
  • Experience with change management principles and the ability to engage and involve stakeholders
  • Experience with capacity planning, risk mitigation strategies and information security principles
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance multiple and competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills, including technical documentation experience
  • Commitment to superior customer service
  • Advanced experience with industrystandard operating procedures
  • Experience with clinical processes, noemnclature and the hospital environment an asset
  • Strong skills in process centrric thinking and workgroup facilitation skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • Ability to provide after hours and oncall coverage
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:


  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
