- Other Possible Location(s): Montreal, Quebec
- Analyze and evaluate acquisition files, in collaboration with the company's various departments;
- Understand the business sector and formulate the business model of target companies in order to identify their strategic value for Industrial Alliance;
- Conduct rigorous financial analyses of acquisition opportunities;
- Coordinate due diligence reviews of acquisition opportunities;
- Work with various experts (lawyers, tax specialists, accountants, partners and other parties to transactions) to bring acquisition opportunities to a successful conclusion;
- Participate in the transaction negotiation process and follow-up on completed transactions;
- Draft confidentiality agreements and letters of intent;
- Review draft purchase/sale agreements;
- Prepare preliminary integration plans to ensure knowledge transfer of files to the integration manager.
- Participate in insurance-related acquisitions in Canada and the United States.
- Ensure sound management of the various financial models used to analyze and evaluate acquisition files.
- Ensure effective governance of our financial models
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science and at least 8 to 10 years' relevant experience
- FCIA or FSA
- Experience and expertise in financial analysis and modeling
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions an asset
- Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry under IFRS 17 an asset
- Excellent French and English language skills, both oral and written, due to frequent interaction with English and French-speaking partners across Canada.
- Proficiency in Windows environment
