    Description

    Role : Data Modeler

    Location : Calgary, Canada

    Who are we looking for?

    The Data Modeler with 8+ years of experience to lead the collection of business requirements to be translated into efficient data structures, while ensuring data integrity and usability. Responsible for design, implement and maintain data models that serve as the backbone of organizations data infrastructure. Expert Data Modeler who brings technical expertise to ensure data integrity, quality and accuracy.

    Technical Skills:

  • Understand and translate complex business data and analytics requirements to lead and hands-on creation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Lead the definition of source to target mapping to describe data transformations.
  • Assess and produce data analytics, artefacts including data model, mapping, data flows, data lineage, metadata documentation and transformation, ensuring the integratin in the technical architecture and the alignment with data quality and governance guidelines.
  • Perform profiling and data analysis using advance SQL / Python techniques on multiple platforms, including Databricks, SQL-Server, Oracle etc..
  • Participate in the delivery and support of data quality, data consolidation and data migration initiatives.
  • Perform design reviews and improve the effectiveness of data design and management.
  • Lead the data analytics design practice by defining and maintaining standards and best practices.
  • Lead the troubleshooting of data issues within the business and present solutions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders including Architects, Data Engineers, DBAs, Infrastructure and Data Governance teams.

    • Process Skills:

    Adept with Industry coding standards and estimation techniques

    Behavioral Skills :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

    • Qualification:

    BE (Computer Science)
