    Responsibilities
    Reporting to the Group Controller, your duties and responsibilities will include;

    • Oversee the timely completion of monthend financial closures.
    • Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy in balance sheet and cost representations.
    • Generate and input adjusting journal entries as necessary.
    • Examine and interpret monthly operating cost variances against standards, previous periods, and prior years, offering insightful commentary.
    • Implement and uphold effective spending controls.
    • Take charge of the budgeting process within the plant.
    • Direct and manage the annual standard cost roll for manufactured products.
    • Ensure adherence to policies as well as internal controls.
    • Monitor and facilitate the completion of Capex projects and the capitalization/retirement of fixed assets.
    • Provide support in the development and execution of policies.
    • Be prepared for occasional travel and provide support to other sites, with an estimated commitment of up to 25% of your time.
    • Assist the plant management team by conducting insightful cost and trend analyses.
    • Enhance and refine internal reporting systems within the plant.
    • Critique financial performance outcomes, pinpoint areas of concern, and take proactive steps to investigate and resolve business challenges.
    • Identify and monitor potential costsaving opportunities through methods such as cost deployment.
    • Evaluate the financial viability of capital projects.
    • Take proactive measures to analyze and resolve plantrelated issues.
    • Formulate midmonth forecasts to support operational planning and decisionmaking.
    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance related discipline
    • CPA designation is highly desired
    • 35+ years of increasing responsibility, preferably in a manufacturing environment
    • SAP experience is an asset
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex topics to a nonfinancial audience.
    • Experience analyzing variances in a manufacturing/cost accounting environment.
