Description

We are seeking a Front Desk Supervisor / Health & Safety Lead to join our team at a Retirement Community in Kanata.

As a Front Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our residents, families, and guests.

In your role, you will manage the functions of the reception desk as well as administrative functions related to the resident and other guests' experience in our community.

As the Infection Control Lead you will be responsible for the joint health and safety committee for the residence. As well as overseeing the infection control for the main lobby.

Your role will be Monday-Friday 9-5pm.


Duties Include:

Reception Desk:

  • Manage the reception desk Monday-Friday and create a schedule for weekend and evening receptionists
  • Respond to inquiries appropriately and take detailed messages
  • Ensure the desk is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Ensure the parttime reception team complete task lists

Administration:

  • Perform various administrative tasks while at the reception desk.
  • Manage calendars and schedules
  • Assist the Regional Manager of Administrative Services with audits, tracking and other KPI assessments.
  • Coordinate the new resident file including the movein tasklist
  • Facilitate the maintenance binder to ensure the requests are being completed in a timely manner.
  • Manage the complaints binder and ensure the requests are being completed in a timely manner.

First Impressions:

  • Ensure the entry, lobby and common areas surrounding the front desk are clean, tidy and restaged following any activities throughout the day.
  • Support the leasing manager with any marketing administrative iniatives
  • Create a biweekly newsletter for residents and families.

Health & Safety Lead:

  • Ensure all audits, drills, meetings, and training are scheduled with appropriate managers and staff and completed in on time.
  • Ensure infection control procedures are being followed in the main lobby area throughout the day.
Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in senior living, customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Familiarity with phone systems and basic computer skills required
  • Experience with Join Health and Safety committee is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

From $18.00 per hour
