Position Type:
Temporary, Full-Time position, (1.0 FTE) until March 31, 2023 (with a possibility of extension)

Position Summary


Reporting to the Director of Speech-Language Therapy and working under the supervision of a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist, the SLPA provides intervention to children and youth with identified speech and language goals.

The SLPA works as a team member with other professionals and caregivers within a family-centred, inclusive model.

SLPAs provide home, community, private school and centre based services to a wide range of children birth to 18 years in both our Early Intervention and Fee for Service Programs.

Positions may be located in any of our three offices (Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission).


We are currently seeking applicants to work in Abbotsford and Mission with children and youth in home, community, and centre based programs.


Qualifications:


  • Completion of an approved SLPA training program (e.g. diploma from UFV or Georgian College in Ontario).
  • Previous experience working with children and youth is an asset.
  • Previous experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset.
  • Ability to speak Punjabi is an asset.
