Description:


Serving as Purolator's primary Operations touchpoint with key eCommerce clients this individual will be leading day-to-day operational activities including issue resolution, executing service delivery improvements, process improvement and report generation.


Responsibilities:


The Manager of eCommerce Programs will:

  • Contribute to the delivery of client-specific continuous improvement initiatives and achieve the corresponding financial & operational benefits
  • Collaborate with leadership across Operational Excellence, National Field Leadership, Sales, Marketing, and Purolator International in order to achieve Purolator's goals with these key clients
  • Generate detailed Operational planning for peak and other highvolume periods through collaboration and negotiation with the clients and alignment to Purolator's plan
  • Foresee, communicate and manage the impacts of changes to either our clients' or Purolator's operational processes
  • Work closely with Field Operations teams to manage service performance and volumes at the regional and terminal level to support achievement of organizational health and safety, service and financial targets
  • Build strategic relationships with the clients' teams to strengthen quality of daily interactions and the overall success of the various inflight priorities
  • Remain apprised of rapidly changing ecommerce market conditions and integrate this awareness into operational decisionmaking
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:


  • University degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7 years' experience in Operations & Client Management within the Transportation industry

Experience:


  • Strong understanding of national distribution networks
  • Detailed understanding of the evolving ecommerce logistics / distribution network in Canada would be an asset
  • In depth knowledge and experience with data preparation, diagnostics, trending, and written/ verbal communication
  • Experience in identifying efficiency improvement opportunities using a datadriven, factbased approach and implementing lean / continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong time management and demonstrated ability to deliver results
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Client Management experience is required
  • Experience working at / with eCommerce retailers is an asset
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and complexity
  • Financial acumen to understand Customer performance and find opportunities to improve margins
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and interests
  • Proven ability to persuade without direct ownership and find winwin solutions
  • Experience communicating with and presenting to audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred (Black Belt an asset)
  • Network engineering and / or quality backgrounds are assets
  • Must have the ability to travel within Canada and the US to client and Purolator facilities
