Title:

Game Day Staff - Video Production Assistant (Honorarium Position)

Reports To:

Video Producer

Summary:

The Video Production Assistant is responsible for assisting Elks marketing staff in all video and content needs at all ten Edmonton Elks home games in 2024.

Tasks involve processing video & audio for post-game interviews, real-time transfer of raw footage, and organizing gameday footage on organizations video servers.

This position is a part-time, honorarium-based role with $1000 in compensation provided upon completion of the 2024 season.

Job Duties:

Pregame preparation, ensuring all game use video equipment is prepared and ready 4 hours before gametime.
Transport SD cards between shooters and uploading station, ensuring timely delivery of game footage.
Assist with the setup and execution of postgame interviews after each game.
Digital archiving and file organization.
Video gear and equipment gear maintenance.

Requirements:

Willing to present a portfolio of working videography experience.
Working towards a University Degree or Diploma in radio and television, or equivalent.
Experience in sports is highly desired.
Availability for all 10 Elks 2024 home games at Commonwealth Stadium

Skills & Abilities:

Interested in professional sports and media.
Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro and camera usage
Proven to be well organized with an attention to detail.
Strong communicator with the ability to take constructive input/critique from others.
