    We solve complex problems by finding integrated data-centric solutions from the first stages of consulting and engineering to installation and commissioning, to the last stages of decommissioning and remediation.

    This position is a full-time placement based in our Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta office.
    Complete soil surveys using the Canadian System of Soil Classification.

    • Complete reclamation planning, earthworks supervision, monitoring, Detailed Site Assessments and reclamation applications.
    • Provide input into planning of programs based on gained knowledge and experience.
    • Provide mentorship and training of junior soil scientists.
    • Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project planning and execution.
    • Coordinate the procurement of project supplies and supervise contractor services.
    • Oversee on-site safety programs and complete associated documentation.
    • Travel as required for various field programs.
    • Prepare technical soil reports.
    Technical Diploma, B.Sc. Sc. degree from an accredited institution in the discipline of Soil Science.

    • Experience driving ARGOs, pick-up trucks and towing is an asset.
    • Ability to work challenging and extended hours in the field under varying weather and remote conditions.
    • Excellent organizational, technical writing and communication skills. Vegetation field survey experience, including species identification and ecosite classification is an asset.
